A unique film-forming, polishable floor care wax – combined repair and film-forming maintenance wax. For surface treatment of all floors and regular maintenance treatment of floors treated with Brilliant.
Product properties
A single product for surface treatment and maintenance. Heavy duty floor wax for surface treatment of all floors. Specially formulated for stone floors. Can also be used on all other floor types. Forms an elastic, hard, dirt-repellent and easily cleaned surface film. Amazingly easy to spread. Short film-forming time, quick-drying. The Brilliant coating is built up by regular maintenance, depending on the wear. Highly suitable for use with scrubber driers. Brilliant can be polished after four days with a low-speed machine and polishing disc pad and after five months also with a high-speed machine which enhances the dirt-repelling properties of the film. A stone floor treated with Brilliant and regularly maintained with Brilliant requires no new complete waxing for 8-10 years. Other floor types require no new complete waxing for 4-5 years.
Surface treatment
Brilliant is applied undiluted, always follow the instructions in separate treatment data sheets for specific floor materials.
- Prior to surface treatment, the floor should be thoroughly cleaned of old polish and polish residue, washing wax and dirt. Use Gipeco Polish Remover Dipex or Goaway.
- Porous floors require pore filling with Gipeco Pore Filler Lino or priming with Gipeco Base Polish Baseon before Brilliant is applied on the floor.
- Apply a single evenly spread layer of Brilliant over the entire floor - 1 litre for ca 50 m2 of floor area. Use a looped Gipeco Mop.
Maintenance treatment
Important! A Brilliant-treated floor may never be cleaned with cleaning agents, other waxes or oil-treated mops – the Brilliant film will be damaged! Brilliant on Brilliant – it's that simple! Maintenance treatment with Brilliant solution should be performed depending on the wear and traffic. Otherwise, the Brilliant film will be worn down quickly! Moistened mop strands maintain the Brilliant film as long as they are damp and re-wax the surface until they are saturated with dirt.
Instructions for use
Can be used manually as well as in machines.
Damp mopping:
Use a looped Gipeco Mop that helps to maintain the correct level of moisture. Too wet strands leave traces on the floor and the floor becomes streaky after drying; too dry or dirt-saturated strands cannot repair the Brilliant film and the film will be worn down quickly
Scrubber driers:
Use a red or white disc pad or 0.3-0.4 mm soft nylon brushes. Hard brushes or coarse or dirty disc pads with e. g. glass shards or sand attached will damage the Brilliant film.
Dosing – use cold water – 20°C at the maximum.
- For light maintenance treatment: 25-50 ml per 10 litres of cold water as needed.
- For regular maintenance treatment of Brilliant-treated floors: 50-100 ml per 10 litres of cold water, depending on the treatment frequency, traffic and wear.
- Spray treatment: 2 dl per 1 litre of cold water.
- Combined surface treatment and maintenance treatment: Build up a Brilliant coating on a cleaned and restored floor by cleaning, using a mixture of 3 dl per 10 litres of cold water ca 12-14 times. When the floor has acquired a protective surface coating, reduce the dose to 50-100 ml per 10 litres of cold water, depending on the treatment frequency, traffic and wear.
Note
Always use cold water – 20°C at the maximum, use clean mops and change the water often – a dirty solution has poor film-forming effect. In case of heavy wear – increase the treatment frequency instead of the dose.
